BUILDING HIGHLIGHTS

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP) building is located at 1779 Massachusetts Ave NW, one block west of DuPont Circle in Washington DC. The CEIP building is an 8-story, 80,000 square foot office building built in 1996. Two custom penthouse rooftop units provide ventilation air to multiple fan powered VAV boxes located throughout the building.

SBP provided comprehensive retro-commissioning services for the project. SBP also completed an ASHRAE Level I building performance assessment identifying several immediate low/no-cost measures that the CEIP could implement. In addition to the retro-Cx and ASHRAE Level I analysis, SBP worked with property management to document the building operations plan, preventative maintenance plan and facilities systems narrative. Within one year of completion of the retro-commissioning effort and CEIP implementation of measures, fixes and adjustments identified the CEIP is realizing improved building performance.
