USGBC – NCR AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE

USGBC National Capital Region Chapter held its premier networking event of the summer for the green building community in the greater DC metropolitan area. 300+ people converged at the National Museum of Women in the Arts to celebrate Mr. Babcock serving as the Awards committee chair announced several of the award winners of the 2010 Awards of Excellence; including member firms, member and projects of the year (for eight different categories).

Sustainable Building Partners, LLC has been approved as an official Pepco Trade Ally offering retro-commissioning and commissioning services in good standing for the Pepco Maryland and District of Columbia Service Territories. SB Partners can provide Enhanced Commissioning (ECx) for new projects and Retro-Commissioning (RCx) projects as part of Pepco’s Commercial & Industrial Energy Savings Program.

 

  • Pepco is offering up to $20,000 or 50% of the cost for ECx services
  • Pepco is offering up to $30,000 or 50% of the cost for RCx services

SBP SUPPORTS THE NEWTON MARASCO FOUNDATION

Mike and Dan participated in this years Newton Marasco Foundation’s  – 2010 Greater Washington Eco Golf Classic. The event raised over $100,000 for NMF’s environmental education efforts.

The Newton Marasco Foundation (NMF) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. Through youth designed and driven programs they teach the value and ethics of environmental stewardship and sustainability. They educate and partner with schools, corporations, and communities to reach our nation’s children through environmental science, the arts and literature.
